Privacy Policy

Effective 30 September 2026 · Last updated 30 September 2026

Adorasoft publishes DueKeeper. This policy explains what the app stores on your device, what you can export, and what Google may process when ads are shown.

The short version: Your reminders and document scans are stored on your device. Document scanning runs on-device. If you choose to save a backup, you decide where the encrypted file goes. DueKeeper includes Google advertising technology, which may process device and usage data.

1. Who we are

DueKeeper is published by Adorasoft. For privacy questions, contact duekeeper@adorasoft.net. This policy covers the DueKeeper mobile app and these DueKeeper website pages.

2. Data you enter and where it goes

When you use the app, you may enter item names, expiry and due dates, reminder settings, family profile names, notes, document numbers, usual amounts, and records of payments made outside DueKeeper. These records are kept in the app's private storage on your phone. The current app does not offer account sign-in or automatically upload your reminder database to Adorasoft.

If you scan or import an image or PDF, the app processes it on your phone to suggest dates. You must confirm a date before the app creates a reminder. The scan image and recognized text are not sent to Adorasoft or included in ad requests. If you choose to keep a scan, the app encrypts the saved copy on the device and requires device authentication before opening it. If you decline to keep it, the app does not retain that copy as a saved scan. Originals in your photo library or files are not deleted by DueKeeper.

DueKeeper does not process your bill payments, connect to your bank, or charge you for a paid feature. “Mark paid” is a record you create about a payment made elsewhere.

3. Device permissions and local notifications

  • Camera: used when you choose to capture a document for on-device date reading.
  • Photos and files: used when you choose an image, PDF, or backup file through your device's picker.
  • Notifications: used to show reminders scheduled on your device. DueKeeper does not need Firebase or a remote push service for these reminders.
  • Biometrics or device authentication: used locally before opening an encrypted saved scan.
  • Network and advertising identifiers: used by the Google advertising and consent components described below.

You can manage app permissions in your device settings. Turning one off may make its related feature unavailable.

4. Advertising and consent

DueKeeper includes Google Mobile Ads and Google's User Messaging Platform. Test ads are used during development; ad technology is present in the app. Where required, the app asks for advertising consent before requesting ads and offers ad privacy choices in Settings when Google requires that option.

According to Google's Mobile Ads data disclosure, the SDK may collect and share an IP address, interactions with the app or ads, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. These practices can depend on device settings, region, consent, and the SDK version. Google may process this information outside your country. See Google's Privacy Policy for its handling and controls.

DueKeeper does not add your reminder titles, document scans, recognized text, document numbers, notes, family names, or payment amounts to ad requests. Your device may also let you reset or limit its advertising identifier.

5. Backups and data sharing

If you create a DueKeeper backup, the app makes an AES-GCM encrypted file containing reminder records, notes, family profiles, schedules, and payment history. Document numbers are excluded unless you turn on “Include document numbers.” Saved scan images and their encryption key are never included. A separate recovery key is shown to you; Adorasoft does not keep or recover it.

You choose where to save or share that encrypted file. If you use a cloud drive, email, or another service, that service's terms and privacy policy apply to the copy you place there. The app excludes its reminder database and saved scans from normal operating-system backup and device transfer.

We do not sell your reminder or scan data. The app shares device and usage data with Google through its advertising SDK as described above. If you email support, you voluntarily share the information in your message with Adorasoft and its email provider; please avoid sending sensitive document images or numbers unless necessary.

6. Retention and deletion

Reminder records and kept scans remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to how your device manages application data. An exported backup remains wherever you saved it until you delete that copy yourself. Deleting an item in DueKeeper does not delete a previously exported backup.

Adorasoft cannot remotely access or erase your local reminder database. To ask about a support email you sent us, contact duekeeper@adorasoft.net. Google's retention and deletion controls for ad data are described in its own policy.

7. Security

DueKeeper uses your operating system's app storage protections. Kept scan files and user-created backup files are encrypted. The backup recovery key is separate from the file, and kept scan files use a device-held key. The local reminder database is app-private storage; it is not separately encrypted by DueKeeper. Please protect your device and your recovery key.

8. This website

These static DueKeeper pages do not include an analytics script, advertising script, or contact form. The website host may process standard connection logs, such as IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the pages. If Adorasoft later adds site analytics, forms, or cookies, this policy will be updated. Email sent through the support link is handled by Adorasoft's email provider.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when DueKeeper's features or data practices change. The date at the top of this page will show the latest version. Material changes may also be described in the app or release notes.
